A Mountain Of Evidence
Following the resumption of the case, the Supreme Court sat for 50 more days.
Hearings were completed in Brisbane on the sixth of September 1989, and Justice Moynihan then faced a formidable task.
He had to distil the facts from the conflicting evidence of 44 witnesses, which, together with the submissions from both sides, generated 3,464 pages of transcript.
There was also a vast amount of documentary and other material tendered, totalling more than 330 exhibits.
