Mabo is a name that's identified with a legal revolution in Australia.

But Mabo was not just a court case;
Eddie Mabo was a man - an obstinate, difficult and passionate human being, who was consumed with preserving the culture of a tiny island.

He was a man who had a vision for himself and his people; he felt his destiny, and theirs, were inseparable.

The High Court judgement in 1992, was the fulfilment of Eddie Mabo's lifelong work.
