Intellectual Environment

Townsville is central to the story of the Mabo case. It was the town where, in 1960, Eddie Mabo and his wife Bonita settled and raised their family and where Eddie's work as a gardener at James Cook University provided access to an intellectual environment which fuelled his passion for justice.
