...That to me is an injustice...
'If you look at it in the specific context of Murray Island, I made findings about the sort of society they had, the relationship it had with the land and so on, and if you applied the doctrine of terra nullius, it said that that wasn't there, that didn't happen, that to me is an injustice. To say that we're going to pretend you're not here and that you haven't been here and established the sort of society and so on that you have established, if that of itself is not an injustice, then it provides a point of departure from which you can rapidly progress to injustice.'
