The Native Problem in Queensland
In 1937, the Department of Native Affairs made a 16 mm film called 'The Native Problem in Queensland.' The film is a record of patrols to the reserves and missions of Queensland and the Torres Strait Islands by the Honourable E.M. Hanlon, Minister for Health and Home Affairs in Queensland. The visit to the Torres Strait was a direct result of the pearling strike against Protection. There are several sequences filmed on Murray Island.
